From D players, to emerging
stand out women players, all the way to world
champions, the Predator Tour is not only attracting
"World Class" talent, but also developing
and shaping leaders and tomorrow’s pool
players who are learning the tools, knowledge
and ability to swim with the sharks.
Pool is about heart, and the Predator Tour is
currently breathing new life into the pool world
in the Tri-State area. With it’s alternate
break format and races to 9, the tour gives
everyone of all skill levels the chance to play,
improve and win big.
The 3rd event began with 66 of the best players
in the Northeast, this Saturday at Master Billiards
in Queens, NY all competing for the top prize
of $1,400. Big names included Mike Davis, Tony
Robles, George Sansouci and Sean Morgan. Round
one of the event produced surprising losses
as Davis was defeated by Wally Mulhammed first
round, and "Ginky" George Sancouci
topped by Manny Chau.
Ginky would fight back and battle the rest of
the day earning the opportunity to return on
day 2. Davis, however, met another tough match
in John Alicea and lost his second match, ending
his tournament much quicker than expected.
Newcomer to the tour Manny Chau was in top pro
company as he, Frankie Hernandez, Shin Park,
and Tony Robles were all undefeated as Day 1
concluded.
The one loss side had many great match lined
up as day 2 began. Bobby Blackmore continues
to be a consistent and tough opponent in the
Predator Tour as he again came back for Day
2 action along with Sean Morgan, Holden Chin,
George Sansouci Albert Lopez, Mike Wong, Jorge
Rodriguez and Eddie Vasquez.
There were many tough battles from big names
in pool, but when the dust settled it was NY's
own Frankie Hernandez defeating Shin Park to
win the $1,400 prize.
The next Predator tour stop will be March 22nd
& 23rd and New York’s own Soho Billiards.
Soho recently did a complete renovation of their
room and looks forward to welcoming the tour
to it’s pool hall.
Tony Robles also announced that this will be
the first event where the highest finishing
female will be awarded $100 dollars.
